Update May '24: Still as amazing as ever. They have a sandwich of the day so there's always something new. They make new soups and rotate them, so there is variety there as well. The owner & staff are very kind and happy to serve you. Original Post: Such a cute little spot with a fantastic patio. They always have such great food, I highly recommend. They also sell local wine and beers which is lovely. I saw they had good quality liquor behind the counter and upon inquiry they said they are planning on doing a happy hour or something on the weekend which will be something to look out for if you're nearby! Great sandwiches, great soup, good prices (sandwiches are currently 14.95 and come with dipping soup). Staff are very friendly and they sell local woodworking.
I am so happy to have found this spot! Truly the best sandwiches in Ottawa. The folks working there were so kind and friendly and their service was absolutely top notch. The interior was great and had good seating, the outdoors also had really great seating options, and there was ample parking to boot. I had their special of the day and a peanut butter cookie and my partner had truck stop sandwich, as well as a cauldron cookie. We both left extremely satisfied and looking forward to our next visit!
Visited for the first time. Tucked away off Carp rd. The restaurant is amazing. Had their daily special, the sandwich had great bread and tender meat. Sandwich is a bit small however. The soup was a stand out, will come back just for the soup. They happen to be also running a Taco day. The fish tacos had glass skin and the fish was on point. The pulled pork taco was some of the juiciest I’ve had in Ottawa. The sauce was well done, overall some of the best tacos I’ve had in the city.
Probably the best sandwich I have had in my life was at this shop. Super friendly staff and inviting environment, it really feels like the two working here are doing what they love and it shows. Very kind people and certainly worth taking a detour to visit if you're in the area or headed for the highway
We ordered two kits for Father’s Day and the food was amazing. Originally I ordered one kit. Less then a week before Father’s Day I messaged them and asked if I could add 3 more people. They were more than willing and accommodating. The food was all so delicious. Especially the spinach dip. So good.
Visited a few times and never disappointed. Sandwiches are well crafted with fresh ingredients and the soups are always succulent.
The hype is real — best veggie sandwich I’ve ever had. And to top it off, they had two soups today, and both were veggie. There’s meat options too of course. Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
I had such an amazing time on this place. First time by myself and second time with my family! The customer service is the best and the food is to die for! Best soup and sandwiches of Ottawa. They even gifted my son with a special sandwich to go that he wanted to try but was too full to have it there . We want to come back every weekend
